Can a temporary number receive a WhatsApp verification SMS?
Only if WhatsApp accepts the individual number and sends an SMS. WhatsApp says registration needs a number you own and can verify, and it excludes VoIP and several other number types. ReadyOTP cannot certify supplier-number eligibility or give you lasting control of a temporary number.

Start with WhatsApp’s eligibility rule
WhatsApp's registration guidance says the user must own the phone number and be able to receive SMS or calls. It lists VoIP, toll-free, premium and universal access numbers as unsupported for ordinary WhatsApp registration; landlines are limited to WhatsApp Business. ReadyOTP is an SMS receiving product and does not independently verify that a current supplier number meets WhatsApp's number-type rule.
That requirement matters after the first code too. If you change phones or re-register, WhatsApp may need the same number again. A short activation has a displayed expiry and is not a way to retain the line. Use a number you control for an account you intend to keep.
Check the exact registration flow
Use the official app and the country it asks for. WhatsApp may send a six-digit registration code by SMS or offer a call after its timer; a ReadyOTP SMS order cannot receive a voice call. For an existing WhatsApp account, the method shown on your screen may differ, including an email route only if it was set up previously. Do not buy an SMS order merely because a generic guide mentions SMS.
